What To Do With Small And Imperfectly Formed Spaces

Skinny spaces have two things going for them. They’re very easy to landscape and after that they don’t take much looking after.

We have two skinny spaces on our property. One is the disaster area behind the garden shed, which is not getting landscaped anytime soon, and the other lies between one side of the house and a practical but not pretty board fence.

We refer to it as “the back courtyard” and have lengthy discussions over five o’clock drinks about how to fix it up.
