NO JUDGMENT, BUT COLIN’S MOTHER ISN’T A FAN OF DANCING AROUND THE TRUTH
My mother wouldn’t let me watch Dancing with the Stars. Well, not for long. Five minutes into the show, she shouted “rubbish” at her TV and changed the channel. I was staying with her in Christchurch for a couple of days and thought we might enjoy watching DWTS together after dinner.
Mum has firm views about what constitutes decent viewing and, as far as she was concerned, that show failed on almost every level – starting with poor Dai Henwood, the co-presenter.
“What’s the matter with him?” Mum wanted to know.
“He’s a bit on the short side,” I said into her good ear. “He makes up for it by bouncing a lot.”
