William and Kate are secretly house hunting and considering a very generous offer from the Queen. Sources say the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are desperate to move out of the ‘claustrophobic’ confines of Apartment 1A of Kensington Palace, their principal family home since 2014.

They have already found a school in the Home Counties for Prince George and are looking to make a permanent move away from London.

So how could anyone get tired of living in a 20-room, four-storey apartment beloved by Princess Margaret and boasting five reception rooms, three bedrooms, a night and day nursery, staff quarters – oh, and underfloor heating?

Well, insist insiders, the answer may be a little more straightforward than you think. Sources tell me that the Queen has offered her grandson the use of one of her finest homes in Windsor Home Park, and has already reportedly given the couple a recent tour inside.

William and Kate are now said to be considering whether the splendid Frogmore House, which is less than half a mile from Her Majesty’s home at Windsor Castle, may just prove ideal for their family.
