The last few years have been turbulent to say the least for Louise Redknapp. Initially, it seemed that splitting from her ex, Jamie, and going from a self-confessed ‘Stepford housewife’ to an epic career comeback had worked wonders for her self-esteem. But it wasn’t long before she began pining for Jamie and the life they once had, confessing she’ll ‘always love him’.
Now, Louise has opened up about regretting her decision to walk away, with a long-standing friend telling Woman, ‘She misses Jamie terribly.’
So just where did it all go wrong?
Lockdown lows
At the start of the year, Woman reported that Louise and Jamie were closer than ever and that Louise was keen for Jamie to move back home. And now a close friend of hers tells us that spending so much time alone in lockdown has made Louise realise how much she misses Jamie. ‘It couldn’t have come at a worse time,’ they tell us, adding that Louise would love nothing more than for her and Jamie to work things out. ‘All the wind was sucked out of her sails because her career went on hold. She’s had to do a lot of soul-searching over the past year and there are a lot of regrets. She has wanted Jamie to come back home for a while but she has finally vocalised it – the reality is she’d take him back in a heartbeat.’
