Sally Lindsay is best known for playing loud, bubbly blondes in the likes of Coronation Street and Mount Pleasant. But in real life the 47-year-old actor is a far cry from the person we see on screen. As Woman’s Own catches up with her during these unprecedented times, she continuously gushes about her husband of seven years, Steve White, and their twin boys, Louie and Victor, nine, and tells us why she’s so proud of seeing them grow up before her eyes…
Hi Sally! How was it spending more time with your family during the lockdown?
I’m very lucky being an actor because you work away for a certain amount of time, then you have big chunks of quality time with them anyway. But we had brilliant days out, walking the dogs for hours because we weren’t restricted by timings like we usually are.
How did you and Steve get on?
Amazingly, we’ve been great during the lockdown. Don’t get me wrong, we’ve been together 16 years, and we have our moments – it’d be weird if we didn’t – but, most of the time, I’m very lucky with Steve, because I married my best friend. We have a massive laugh, he’s very bright and I respect him massively.
