He’s learning about being a monarch
He’s only eight, but Prince George has got a big future ahead of him and his parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, are reportedly starting to gently introduce the idea of being king.
It’s less of a history lesson on the monarchy and more of an introduction through fun and games in a ‘child-like way’, according to palace insiders. The intention to give the Cambridge children as normal an upbringing as possible is still paramount.
William says, ‘Right now it’s a case of keeping a secure, stable environment around him and showing as much love as I can, as [a] father.’
His name has a special meaning
The young royal’s full name is George Alexander Louis. He’s named after Queen Elizabeth II’s father, George VI. When little George succeeds to the throne, he will be the seventh King George.
Alexander, which Kate reportedly wanted as George’s first name, is thought to be in tribute to his great-grandmother, the Queen, whose full name is Elizabeth Alexandra Mary.
His third name, Louis, is taken from his father’s name – William Arthur Philip Louis, as well as the Duke of Edinburgh’s uncle, Lord Louis Mountbatten.
