After months of heartache, Coleen reverts to comfort eating to make herself feel better.
To say it’s been a tough year for Coleen Nolan would be an understatement, and it seems things aren’t getting any better for the Loose Women star, as she’s stuck in a rut of feeling ‘c**p’ about herself.
Not only has Coleen, 53, had to deal with the breakdown of her marriage to Ray Fensome, she’s also been faced with the prospect of losing another sister, Linda, to cancer, which, according to friends, has forced her to re-evaluate her own health.
Having lost Bernie to breast cancer in 2013 and with Linda’s secondary breast cancer diagnosis last year, the thought that Coleen, too, could face the same fate as her sisters is weighing heavily on her mind.
‘Coleen is in a vicious spiral of feeling sad, and worrying about her health obsessively, but overeating to make herself feel better,’ a friend of the star tells Woman’s Own. ‘The thought of cancer is always there and right now she is not in a good place at all. She’s feeling really c**p about herself and, now she’s single again, she cannot imagine a man wanting to be with her.’

'THAT'S NOT MY BABY'
Lying in the hospital bed, my husband Michael had tears of happiness in his eyes as he showed me a photo on his phone. 'Here she is,' he said proudly. 'This is our beautiful baby girl.'I stared at the photo and shook my head. 'No, that's not my baby,' I said. 'There must be a mistake.'It was August 2010 and I'd not long before had an emergency caesarean. I'd not had a chance to see Winnie when she arrived as she'd been whisked away for tests because she was nearly two months premature.
