Alison Hammond on learning to love her body and her favourite thing about Christmas
‘LIFE'S TOO SHORT NOT TO EAT!'

Tis the season to eat, drink and be merry – and, like most of us, TV presenter Alison Hammond will be doing exactly that over the festive period.

Having had a gastric band fitted in 2007, the ITV This Morning presenter, 46, later had it removed, and doesn’t limit herself when it comes to food any more.

Alison insists she’s now accepted her body as it is. She says, ‘The band did make me eat less, but I was still hungry. I had it for about two years and lost maybe a stone in that time. I got it removed because I hated the feeling of not being able to eat.

‘Life is too short,’ she adds. ‘I’ve accepted who I am – I embrace it. I do need to get healthier because I’m not getting any younger, but I’m not going to stop my life if I’m not a certain size.’
