It was the onset of sleep problems, along with widespread pain and crushing fatigue, that prompted me to seek help from my GP.
I was getting only a couple of hours broken sleep a night, and the next day I had brain fog, would lose words and struggled to focus. As the weeks went by, it meant I couldn’t do my job, so I gave up work and stopped leaving the house altogether. It was just too much effort.
After two years, I finally received a diagnosis of ME (myalgic encephalomyelitis, also called chronic fatigue syndrome), and my GP prescribed sleeping tablets.
These helped me sleep but left me feeling like a zombie. I knew they weren’t a long-term solution, so I started searching for something else.
I overhauled my bedtime wind-down routine, bought a Fitbit to help pace myself and began taking Unbeelieavable Health’s Bee Rested, a sleep-support supplement formulated by nutritionists and including hops, lavender, chamomile, bee propolis and magnesium.
