Is the much-loved presenter getting the ultimate revenge on Sunrise?
TV BOMBSHELLS MEL DOYLE'S SHOCK MOVE TO TODAY!

She was sensationally dumped from the Sunrise desk eight years ago, but Melissa Doyle will finally get the last laugh, with an announcement expected in the coming weeks that she may join the Today line-up in 2022!

After months of top-secret meetings and negotiations, the breakfast TV veteran has reportedly all but signed on the dotted line with Nine in a deal that will see her work alongside her one-time rival Karl Stefanovic.

According to a well-placed source, Mel’s shock appointment is just what Today needs if they have any chance of winning the hotly contested breakfast TV war.

Sunrise just claimed another win – that’s 18 years in a row as number one! Something drastic had to give and Mel is their best chance,” the insider tells Woman’s Day.

“She had 11 years at the Sunrise helm, and will be the vital missing link they’ve needed over at Nine. The plan is to use her across the Monday to Friday format as a regular contributor to begin with. They want her in the studio live with Karl and Ally, and are considering a number of options – including a weekly segment that covers off the big stories. It’s the best move they’ve made in a very long time.”

The source also adds that Mel is hotly tipped to join 60 Minutes too, with Liz Hayes said to be wrapping up her time at the show to concentrate on other ventures, including Under Investigation.
