The Firm is facing a cash crisis – and all eyes are on the Sussexes

As far as businesses go, the British monarchy has made an art form out of making money from almost every corner of their realm – from tea towels in the Buckingham Palace gift shop through to hawking Prince Charles’ estate-made chutneys – plus, of course, accepting a sizeable chunk of help from the taxpayer.

But as the coronavirus ravages the bank accounts of the tourism sector, the royals have revealed they too are struggling after shutting down for most of 2020, with the Queen’s treasurer issuing a grave warning that The Firm should expect to run at a $35 million loss by March 2021.
