Oh-so-private lovebirds Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx are finally close to their happily-ever-after as a blended family under one roof – including having a baby of their own.

Friends of Katie, 39, have revealed to Woman’s Day that the former Dawson’s Creek star is going all-out to conceive a baby and Jamie – once a good friend of Katie’s ex Tom Cruise – is thrilled to be building a future with the woman of his dreams. In fact, the secretive A-listers have all but signed the dotted line on a $16.5 million mansion in California!

“With her 40th birthday looming in December, Katie knows it’s now or never if she’s going to be a mum again,” spills an insider close to the Batman Begins star. “Her work is very important to her, but family is even more important and she’s desperate to get pregnant before the end of the year.”

Whispers are already swirling that the actress – mum to daughter Suri, 12, from her doomed six-year marriage to Tom, 56 – may already be expecting a baby Foxx after she was recently snapped tenderly rubbing her stomach at a gym. And on September 20, she attended a New York jewellery launch in a scarlet gown that showed what looked like a baby bump.
