CHARLES TELLS HARRY ‘I'M SO SORRY, MY BOY'

It’s been a mystery that’s dominated headlines ever since Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex made startling claims that a senior royal had commented on the colour of their unborn children’s skin – just who made the remarks?

Now a new book claims it was Harry’s father who made some unsavoury comments to his wife over breakfast around the time of his son’s engagement in 2017.

According to Christopher Andersen in his book Brothers And Wives: Inside The Private Lives Of William, Kate, Harry And Meghan, on the day Harry and Meghan publicly announced their engagement, Charles mused, “I wonder what the children will look like?”

A “somewhat taken aback” Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, replied, “Well, absolutely gorgeous, I’m certain.”

‘INNOCENT MUSINGS’

According to the author’s sources, Charles then lowered his voice and asked, “I mean, what do you think their children’s complexion might be?” – apparently while “household staff were circulating in earshot”.

Last week, Christopher elaborated that the words were the “innocent musings of a grandfather” that were “twisted over time by palace operatives into something far more racially charged and toxic, so by the time it reached Harry, he was shocked at what he was hearing… Keep in mind that at the time, Charles was extremely fond of Meghan and had become friendly with her mother, Doria Ragland.”
