The Duchess of Cambridge may have stolen the spotlight as the Queen hosted Dutch royals, but it was her step mother-in-law, the Duchess of Cornwall, who set tongues wagging.
Camilla was dressed to match the monarch at the lavish event, where both women looked stunning in full-length ivory dresses and navy blue sashes, which represent their long royal service. Camilla was wearing a striking honeycomb tiara, once owned by the Queen Mother, but gifted to the duchess after her marriage to Prince Charles.
“In many ways, this was Camilla’s coming out party and an official acknowledgement that she will soon become queen herself,” tells a royal source.
