Beloved actress Eva Longoria Bastón couldn’t be happier as she introduces Santiago Enrique, her first-born son with her husband, Mexican businessman José “Pepe” Bastón.

Opening her heart and speaking candidly, the Hollywood star, director and businesswoman, most famous for her time on Desperate Housewives, is visibly moved as she talks about the “indescribable, magical” experience of motherhood, and how her family and friends have become a vital part of “a beautiful journey”.

Despite a heatwave in Los Angeles, 43-year-old Eva is ever-attentive to her two-month-old, feeding the smiling baby as she gets the full beauty treatment and dons high heels to tirelessly pose for our camera, all the while happily chatting …

You’ve said it’s been a joy playing stepmother to Pepe’s three children. How do you feel as a first-time mother?

It’s indescribable! It’s funny because everyone tells you, “It’s going to be amazing!” And then it happens and you understand what everyone’s talking about. But you can’t really understand it until you experience it. I’ve been really lucky. He was born healthy, I had a good pregnancy, an amazing husband and a great support system in my family and friends, so everything was pretty smooth for me. It’s been a really great journey.
