The palace awaits the pitter-patter of tiny feet.

Joining her husband and brother-in-law on a tour of Princess Diana’s remembrance garden at Kensington Palace, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, looked stunning in a bright green floral dress.

As she supported Princes William and Harry on their poignant visit, onlookers couldn’t help but notice the duchess’ unmistakable glow – which even the rain clouds couldn’t dull.

Now, Woman’s Day has had confirmation that the secret behind Kate’s radiance is that she is expecting baby number three! “She and William are absolutely thrilled,” tells our source. “They’ve only told a select few so far, but it’s becoming increasingly obvious given her absence from public duty recently.”

Kate’s outing came after a previously unexplained five-week absence from the public eye, and a fortnight since we revealed she was rushed to King Edward VII’s Hospital in Marylebone, London, last month.

Having suffered extreme morning sickness in her pregnancies with Prince George, four, and Princess Charlotte, two, Kate’s brief hospital visit led royal watchers to predict yet another prince or princess could soon be on the way.

While pregnancy rumours first started during Kate and William’s trip to Germany and Poland in July, they gathered speed when UK bookmaker Coral officially stopped taking bets on a third royal baby last week, after it was inundated with punters predicting a brother or sister for George and Charlotte.

A spring arrival

Royal sources tell us an official announcement will be made any day now – with Kate, William and the entire royal clan over the moon. We’re told they’ll be welcoming the newest member of their family in March, just in time for spring in the UK.
