When a chocolate tart saw Maja Veit eliminated from MasterChef Australia, she couldn’t quite believe it. The moment she stepped out of the kitchen, reality hit her like a tonne of bricks.

“I was in complete shock,” Maja tells Woman’s Day. “You don’t really know how to react in that situation.”

Devastated, Maja felt lost… until producers told her that she might have another shot when Second Chance Week rolled around. Instead of feeling glum, Maja decided that she was going to use this time to work on her craft.
