- Marina Nazario

Vacation exercise is an almost paradoxical concept. There was a time when exercise was one of those, like the office, you took a vacation from – you slept in, stayed up late, ate the food you wanted, drank sugary drinks, etc even though you knew they would give you a headache in the mornings. Somewhere along the way, however, vacation exercise intensified. Sweat became as important as sun block. Wearable phone apps and remote coaching have made it easy to exercise during vacations. are that there are several activities available that will help you stay active. Research what is in the area before you undertake the tour. Signing up for everything will not bring you home rejuvenated. Instead, you should make time for leisurely activities you enjoy.

When using airports while travelling, walk briskly when heading between gates for connecting flights and either avoid the “people movers” or get in the walking lane on them and continue walking instead of standing still as it moves you. Take advantage of layovers by walking around as much as possible after finding your gate, rather than parking yourself at a coffee shop or restaurant next to your gate and sitting there for your entire layover.
