The vibrant atmosphere of Delhi markets can make shopping a lot of fun. Delhi has one of the best markets in India, selling a huge array of items from all over the country. To make a style statement, our fashion lovers are taking the plunge into this adventure filled with strange head-turning colors and prints. On the streets, many people are seen in tight fitted jeans, loose flowing frocks or shirts set in a classier way. People are extremely fashion conscious and enthusiastic about dressing. This generation usually prefers readymade garments, from traditional outfits to casual t-shirts, from tight fitted jeans to bellbottoms; everything creates a new street fashion. Palazzo pants, loose shirts or crop tops, all seem to be embellishing this comeback trend with joy. Not limited to dresses only, street fashion has a vast expansion to accessories like pieces of jewelry, footwear, bags, etc.
IT’S ALL ABOUT SHOPPING
In Sarojini Nagar Market, Iqbal says, “It is famous for its cheap designer clothes and reputable brands that have been rejected from export, either because of surplus quantity or small manufacturing defects. Shops and stalls, selling all kinds of clothes and fashion accessories, sprawl onto the streets. New stock arrives every Tuesday, so it's best to go then.”
A 21-year-old girl Roma says about Sarojini Nagar, “This is my dream place for shopping. At this famous street market, one can find the first copies of branded clothing for half the price. Whether a Zara top or Pepe jeans, one will get it at prices less than `1,000. In the market, there are a few shops selling junk jewelry and shoes as well.”
