Your winner of the 2017 Women’s Health and Fitness and Brazilian Butterfly Cover Model Competition is this beautiful, ambitious and bubbly young mum, personal trainer and business owner from down-town Adelaide. She sat down with WH&F to talk ‘the’ photoshoot, her post baby body, and her love for desserts and burpees.

ON THE REASON WHY

I actually began my own fitness journey over ten years ago, after being inspired by reading fitness magazines: I aspired to look as fit, healthy and confident as the gorgeous models on the front covers. Now – pinch me! I have always loved the content WH&F provides, so this is a dream come true!

ON WHAT IT MEANS TO WIN

It still feels like a dream; I feel so lucky and I’m so grateful. Twelve months ago after the birth of my baby boy, I took a huge leap and relaunched my personal training business (which was face-to-face working in a gym) to a solely online coaching service. Being a WH&F cover girl is not only a great personal achievement, but a fantastic opportunity to expand my business and spread my positive energy to even more women!

ON THE PROCESS

When I got the call confirming the win, I thought I was in trouble for a slow reply to an email over the weekend. When I found out the actual reason for the call, it was so exciting! I remember my baby was asleep at the time so I had to work hard not to scream. I had just nine days to prepare for the interstate shoot and I’d been out of my usual training routine for a few months due to injury. I immediately got my butt moving again and left no stone unturned leading up to shoot-day.

The team at Brazilian Butterfly were lovely, so excited for me and enthusiastic to be a part of the competition. My tan was perfect! And the photoshoot was so fun: the WH&F team made me feel very welcome and we got the cover shot really quickly, so it was a breeze. They’re the dream team for sure.

Welcome to the diet v excercise debate – all the more important come social season, when time is scarce and (high-energy) food is abundant.
