BELINDA NALWAMBA WORKS WITHIN THE Lower Zambezi National Park and Chiawa Game Management Area (GMA), Zambia, protecting wildlife from poachers. She belongs to Kufadza, a team of 10 female anti-poaching scouts at an NGO called Conservation Lower Zambezi. "I want to encourage other women that would like to be part of wildlife conservation to pursue their dreams despite their gender," says Belinda. "Our core responsibility is to ensure there are no illegal activities in our area of operation. We monitor fauna and flora and apprehend suspects involved in any illegal activities."
