MEET THE SCIENTIST Beth Reinke

ZOOLOGIST BETH REINKE HAS BEEN interested in herpetology for as long as she can remember. "It started with catching and recording 'data' on American toads that would get onto the fire escape at my parents' house in Indiana," she says. "Then in the summer, I'd catch turtles in Wisconsin with my cousins. Now I catch some of the same animals for research!"
