What appears as one single unit each from the outside functions as two large and shared spaces from the inside. Nestled on a 16,200sqft plot, this residence is a collaborative effort between Studio Eskay, who headed the architecture, and Coloraza Design Studio, who planned the interiors. The design actively addresses the dynamics of a large, joint family by creating opportunities to interact with every member while enabling an ever-evolving lifestyle deep-rooted in Indian culture. A design highlight is the lack or absence of artificial light. This home is well ventilated and a skylight colludes with this.
The ground floor is the central axis, and the parents' room joins the two wings of the house. This expanse is designated for guests and consists of a formal living room, an open-plan family room with a dining area, and a breakfast counter connected to the kitchen.
