Advantec Wheels Pvt. Ltd. is all set to launch alloy flow forged wheels and is proud of being an early mover. The wheel spoke is cast, and the rim area is flow-forged by applying heat and pressure. The rim area is spun and squeezed to obtain the desired profile. A much better grain structure of the aluminium alloy is obtained for use in rims. This is claimed to be a lightweight and stronger wheel with higher load-bearing capacity compared to the standard cast OEM and other aftermarket alloy options. “Our idea from the beginning was to create something much more than just a wheel. Our main vision with this particular product was to look at it as a product of fashion and not just as a commodity,” expressed Jasneet Singh, Co-founder, of Advantec Wheels Pvt. Ltd. The company aspires to design and engineer wheels to alter general perception.
Design Philosophy
Advantec has resorted to an aggressive and bold design philosophy. “We are focused on an aggressive design philosophy and tend to base our designs on particular man made and natural objects like the Kohinoor diamonds among others,” Singh stated. Playing with the intrigue of styling elements in its first design, the company draws inspiration from nature’s wonders like black widow and spider.
