When you think of a Harley Davidson, a large cruiser hogging miles on the highway is what comes to mind. But this X440 is a different story altogether. it’s a bike that has been developed specifically keeping indian conditions in mind and won’t be classified as just a cruiser. We got to experience the motorcycle at the Cit in Jaipur, rajasthan, at their performance track as well as the handling track and here is our first impression.
Starting off with the design, a lot of inspiration has been taken from the older Xr models, which is evident from the styling of the 13.5-litre fuel tank. the bike sports a round leD multi-projector headlight at the front with the daytime running lights (Drl) running through the middle. towards the rear, it gets a single-piece seat which keeps the rider sitting inside, rises upwards towards the rear, and flattens out for the pillion rider. When we first received pictures of the motorcycle, the bike sported a main stand, but the unit sent for this review had a bash-plate at the bottom and the main stand had been removed.
Three variants of the bike are on offer, the distinguishing factors being the use of spoked wheels on the entry-level Denim model, alloy wheels on the mid-tier Vivid model, and diamond-cut alloy wheels on the highest S variant. the top-spec variant also gets a 3D-embossed “harley-Davidson” logo on the tank, bronze highlights on the engine, and connectivity features as well. What we have for this review is the S variant which is available only in this Matte Black colour scheme. the entry-level model gets a Mustard Denim colour scheme and the Vivid variant is available in two colours: Metallic thick red and Metallic Dark Silver.

At face value, it appears Ducati have only mildly tweaked the Multistrada V4 S for 2025, which is why we arrived in Perugia, Italy, a few hours north of Rome, expecting a couple of easy days on the classy adventure-tourer. However, it quickly became apparent that despite only mildly updating the Multi's familiar looks, beneath the bodywork lies a vast number of updates that Ducati hope will make the bestselling Multi (and best-selling Ducati globally) even more versatile than before
