It does not necessitate the cost of a paved track; therefore, at the most fundamental level, if you have a flat piece of land, you can have a track. Furthermore, it is quite beneficial for improving as a rider. Most MotoGP racers first train themselves on flat tracks to improve their handling and this is equally applicable to and beneficial to the average rider as it is to the professional racer.
