IN INDIA, THE MAXI scooter craze is starting to take off. Indians are not wholly unfamiliar with these scooters because we were already smitten by the 165-cc Kinetic Blaze. It was comfortable and had the benefit of its size. The Indian motorcycle market, however, was not yet developed enough to accept a maxi-scooter. With the introduction of the Burgman Street 125, Suzuki India were the first to bring maxi-scooters back here. It was well-liked because of its laid-back ergonomics and commanding street presence. Ours is the largest two-wheeler market in the world and provides manufacturers of practically all sizes and specialities a prosperous playground. So, it's not unusual to see a foreign company striving to establish itself on Indian soil.
A scooter is no longer only a practical vehicle; more and more high-end options are becoming available. Maxi-scooters are a new market sector in India with only a few competitors, but more are now entering the market. Due to also being under the same owner as Benelli, Keeway, the Hungarian brand, has also been introduced in India. We took a quick review ride on the new Vieste 300.
It can leave the other mass-market and several bikes-behind scooters at the light
