However, on stage 12, Ogier suffered a double rear puncture and, soon thereafter, his left rear suspension collapsed. This forced the eight-time world champion to retire from this stage. Rovanper&auml; had a lead of two minutes and 04.4 seconds that allowed him to cruise to victory.&nbsp;
Rovanper&auml; has now extended his championship lead over Evans by 33 points.
Evans was able to recover from a mechanical issue on Saturday to finish second. The Welshman suddenly slowed during stage nine with a suspected overheating problem in his GR Yaris that cost him more than a minute, dropping him to fifth. A roadside repair kept Evans in the fight, allowing him to rise back to third behind Hyundai's Dani Sordo following retirements for Neuville and Ogier.&nbsp;
