2024 GMC HUMMER EV SUV
Every so often, a vehicle born of a "let's do it" attitude debuts. That go-for-it approach usually creates track-ready sports cars. This time, it created an electric SUV.
From the rear doors forward, the Hummer EV SUV is identical to its pickup sibling the one that weighs 9640 pounds and required a trip to the truck scales because it tilted our scales. GMC says the SUV isn't as heavy as the pickup, but we'd still beware of bridges rated at four tons.
The weight loss is largely due to a smaller battery pack. Instead of 24 modules, the SUV packages 20 below the floor. The estimated 177.3-kWh pack should result in at least 250 miles of range.
