It should have happened in May when moving on to a Honda NT1100 after the NC750X I rode last year would have made sense.
Arguably, in basic terms at least, the NT is a bigger-engined version of the capable 750 all-rounder, and just like that bike, the 1100 has been designed to cope comfortably with a variety of uses. That versatility suits me well, and with around double the power, the NT should have all the performance I need unlike the relatively weedy NC which occasionally fell somewhat short. However, as regular readers know, a foot and ankle injury stalled the 750/1100 swap for a while, during which time I coped with an excellent TMAX maxiscooter. Anyway, as I’m now back to fuller fitness, my time with the NT1100 has at last begun.
Sounds promising, on paper at least First impressions of the NT came from the moment I learned of its existence, and with positive press launch reports I looked forward to riding one.
