Niesmann+Bischoff occupies a top N spot in motorhome production. Part of the Erwin Hymer Group, its luxurious vehicles are extensively customisable, so any review needs to highlight the many different options.
When we heard the new Flair 920 - with an opulent central washroom that is possibly beyond what you have at home, let alone in your motorhome - was on display at Travelworld in Stafford, we thought the opportunity to see it was too good to miss.
The Flair sits on an Iveco Daily, with an MTPLM of 7200kg. That - as well as its 9.27m length and the fact it's unlikely to be available in right-hand drive could restrict this vehicle's appeal.
But if you have the right licence, are not put off by huge vehicles and are likely to be touring abroad most of the time, there is much to admire.
Start by closing the habitation door behind you as you step in, and you'll notice that the inside of the door has the same sound-deadening felt-effect panelling as the rest of the walls.
Our test model had leather captain's seats (other fabrics are available) in the cab. As an option, two travel seats can be created further back by sliding out a section of the nearside settee.
In lounge mode, with the cab seats swivelled, there is easily room for eight at the table, which folds and slides away. The TV slides out from behind the nearside settee. Elegant lighting here doubles up as speakers, creating a surround-sound effect.
