It's exactly a year now since Mercedes-Benz launched the new generation GLC in India. The SUV has performed excellently over the years, topping sales charts in its segment, just like its sedan-equivalent, the C-Class. And that's because with its design, size, luxury quotient and overall appeal the GLC has been outperforming its direct rivals in the midsize luxury SUV segment consistently. And now for 2024, Mercedes-Benz has upped the GLC's luxury quotient by equipping it with more features, in a bid to make it an even more enticing proposition for buyers looking for a luxury midsize SUV.
There are no changes to the design but that's not to say this one looks dated in any manner - it is quite the looker even a year later, especially with the generous helpings of chrome on the front, especially the grille and air dams at the bottom. Not that I'm a big fan of chrome but admittedly, the chrome treatment enhances the GLC's appeal further. The 19-inch wheels looks smart and add a dash of ruggedness to the stance while the roof mounted spoiler at the back lends the GLC's rear a touch of sportiness, though the chrome highlights on the rear bumper look a little out of place in comparison.
