Is that really a 150cc motorcycle? This is the general consensus among people who first lay their eyes on the Yamaha FZ-S. And this has been true ever since the first FZ was introduced back in 2008. Its styling seems borrowed from Yamaha’s litre class naked motorcycle - the FZ1 and resonated with the youngsters, including the eight-year-old me. 25 years later, it still feels enticing. This year, Yamaha introduced the fourth generation model with a host of tech and cosmetic updates like segment first traction control system, Bluetooth connectivity, all LED lighting and new colourways. With Ver 3.0 still on sale, do the updates on the Ver 4.0 justify the premium and more importantly make it a formidable contender in the 150cc motorcycle wars? Let’s find out.
