Here at What Car?, we've got one that's a little more niche: when buying a family electric SUV, the cheaper rear-wheel-drive (RWD) model is almost always the smarter choice. That might sound counterintuitive, but we've seen it play out with the Kia EV6, Polestar 4 and Porsche Macan Electric. RWD versions tend to be more affordable, sharper to drive and more efficient than their fourwheel-drive counterparts.
