In past few years, technology and digital innovation have changed the way most industries work, with each passing day an increasing number of organisations chose technology to perform tasks at various levels from the most basic to the most complicated ones.
This transformation further escalated during the pandemic, as manual functions almost stopped. The sectors that couldn't not have imagined using technology to perform the basic functions also relied on it. Construction industry is one such example, it underwent a great deal of disruption as most of the functions depended on manual workforce.
But, as the pandemic receded, the sector began to evolve with the use of technology. Now, from designing to construction and from operations to maintenance and sales and marketing, technology is put to use for a varied variety of functions. Some of the most common technologies used in the construction sector include building information modelling (BIM), wireless sensors, automated and robotic equipment and 3-printing.
