Numerous hotels in India are drenched in history and filled with antiques which tell a lively and vibrant tale of a bygone era while, at the same time, providing all the modern comforts.
All this is achieved by heritage hotels! While historic hotels have always attracted the glamourous crowd their timeless appeal has caught the fancy of millennials and gen today. In this age of Instagram, historic hotels are shinning out with their periodic charm.
Ashok Malkani views the different aspects of these heritage hotels, like their popularity with international tourists, and if there are any standard specifications codes to judge their standards of comfort, etc. assuring the tourists of their wellbeing and contentment.
India's old-world charm is unimaginable. It is a home to one of the seven wonders of the world and 40 World UNESCO Heritage sites.

After India gained independence and abolished privy purses their maintenance became difficult, and a number of such properties were left unattended till their importance as heritage sites was realised and thus was born the concept of heritage hotels.
These properties maintain the magnificence and grandeur of their heydays and, due to their ancient architectural excellence, have proved to be admired by the tourists.
