The online retail industry has experienced a significant surge in growth during and after the pandemic, particularly in the online grocery sector. Over the past two years, online grocery sales have witnessed a staggering growth rate of over 100 percent, with the market reaching $10 billion in 2023 compared to $5 billion in 2021. Projections indicate that this upward trajectory will continue, with online grocery sales expected to reach $18 billion by 2025, reflecting a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of nearly 40 percent. One of the key drivers of this growth is the emergence and rapid expansion of QuickCommerce (QC), a dynamic channel that is projected to account for 30 percent of total online grocery sales by 2025.
