AROUND THE time he was in grammar school in Austria, Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger "had this incredible desire to be recognized. Whenever I watched television or film I always put myself up there on the screen and said, 'How would it be if people looked at me?' Why, I don't know. I got the feeling that I was meant to be more than just an average guy running around, that I was chosen to do something special." And with that unshakable confidence, he found his calling - first as a bodybuilder, then a movie star, then governor of California. "If my life was a movie, no one would believe it," he said. "As long as the mind can envision the fact that you can do something, you can do it." But that thinking has steered him in the wrong direction at times -explaining the secret affair, and son, that ended his marriage to Maria Shriver. "We all fall at one time or another, and this was a major fall," admitted Arnold, who turns 75 on July 30. "I have had many failures in life, but what makes you a winner is when you fail, you get up and keep going."
