AN ELDERLY eagle who got confused and tried to hatch a rock has become a proud papa after all!
Murphy, a 31-year-old bald eagle, has won millions of online fans by adopting an orphaned chick after a flap over his valiant efforts to incubate a rock he mistook for an unhatched egg.
The broody bachelor showed such paternal pride in tending his rock baby, the staff at World Bird Sanctuary in Valley Park, Mo., decided to get the adoption process rolling for the barren bird of prey!
