MEXICO’S President Andrés Obrador is being openly mocked on social media after he posted a photo of a bizarre creature with glowing eyes he claims is a legendary Mayan elf!
The 69-year-old Mexican leader triggered a frenzy South of the Border and was clobbered with the tidal wave of abuse after he posted a picture of a creature with glowing eyes in a tree.
He identified the critter as an “aluxe” — or elf — and backed up his claim with another photo of ancient sculptures from the Mayan archeological site at Balam he says resemble the tree creature.
