BELOVED comedy legend Bob Newhart went to his grave at age 94 on July 18 secretly wracked by guilt for stealing the act of fellow cutup Shelley Berman - but got the last laugh by becoming far more successful than his rival, sources snitch.

"Bob never really thought he did anything wrong. It still stung to have people say he swiped someone's bit," an insider squeals. "But Bob's lasting fame was built on his talent and that was all him."
