PYTHON hunters in Florida are used to seeing big snakes — but the monster slithering across a road in the Big Cypress Nature Reserve was so massive they didn't even know what it was at first!
"It was stretched out across the road," marvels Mike Elfenbein, who's been hunting and fishing in Florida his whole life. "It was so huge it looked like an alligator."
When they realized the critter was a big, fat Burmese python, the guys leaped into action. Gutsy Carter Gavlock boldly grabbed the leviathan's tail.
