Sweeping down the red carpet in a voluminous crimson gown, Heidi Klum made a showstopping entrance at the Cannes Film Festival.
With her glowing complexion and toned, tanned legs , the 50-year-old German supermodel is in her prime and certainly turned heads as she arrived at a screening of the aptly named comedy Le Deuxième Acte.
Indeed, Heidi appears to be embracing her own “Second Act” with gusto and, far from slowing down and taking it easy, is making the most of the fact her four children are now adults and teenagers.
And she’s not only rediscovered a passion for clubbing, but has reinvented herself as a pop star.
“I feel lucky to be 50,” she has said. “We’re lucky to get old. When I was younger, I would think: ‘Fifty! That’s like a grandma already.’ Now that I am 50, I don’t feel like a grandma, even though I could be one very soon. Who knows?”
DANCING INTO MIDLIFE
Heidi certainly didn’t appear like a stereotypical grandma joining the stars on the French Riviera, where her fiery, off-shoulder gown by Lebanese designer Saiid Kobeisy stole the show.
Her youthful looks are as much a testament to the contentment and joie de vivre she has found in midlife as they are to her healthy and active lifestyle.
“Every Saturday, my husband and I do dance lessons. It’s amazing. I love it,” says the star, who had ambitions to be a dancer before she won a modelling competition in 1992.
Mum to daughters Leni, 20, and Lou, 14, and sons Henry, 18, and Johan, 17, Heidi says that now her children are growing up, she can once again enjoy letting her hair down with husband Tom Kaulitz, 34, whom she married in 2019.
