The actress is back on our screens in new sci-fi series Dark Matter, in which she tries to unravel the mystery posed by the realisation that her husband is an impostor from another dimension.
“As soon as I read the script, I thought it was something really new, exciting and fun,” she says. “I loved the idea of alternate realities and having all these different worlds to explore.
“You have a couple who have been married for 20 years, who are having to deal with some difficult times. So, it’s a story with an ode to marriage very much at the centre of this incredible story told in the landscape of alternate realities. I was very excited to be a part of it.”
A TALE OF TWO MARRIAGES
Jennifer, 53, celebrated her own 20th wedding anniversary last year with husband Paul Bettany, whom she met on the set of the 2001 film A Beautiful Mind – she won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her portrayal of Alicia, the wife of Russell Crowe’s schizophrenic mathematician John Nash.
