The prestigious event, hosted by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, launched awards season with a ceremony to celebrate the lifetime legacies and contributions to the film industry of a select few stars.
A host of A-listers pulled out all the stops to pay tribute – among them actress and humanitarian Angelina Jolie, who exuded elegance in a golden gown sourced from The Kit Vintage, teamed with a diamond collar necklace and drop earrings. The 49-year-old Maleficent star stepped into the spotlight with her handsome plus-one – her rarely seen 16-year-old son Knox.
Tall and dapper in black-tie, the smiling young man, sporting a buzzcut, looked strangely familiar as they linked arms. He bore a striking resemblance to his father Brad Pitt, who shares the same blue eyes and chiselled jawline.
It was the first time in more than three years that Knox has attended a high-profile event – his last red-carpet appearance was in 2021 when he joined siblings Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh and twin sister Vivienne at the premiere of Angelina’s Marvel film Eternals.
