As the Princess of Wales recovers in hospital after a major operation, her children are helping lift her spirits as she and her husband the Prince put family first and try to keep life as normal as possible.
Prince William, 41, has cleared his diary so he can look after Prince George, ten, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five, and care for Kate, 42, after she underwent abdominal surgery that could require up to two weeks in hospital and recuperation at home until after Easter.

The day after Kensington Palace announced the news – which coincided with the revelation the King also needs an operation – William was seen driving from The London Clinic after visiting his wife, who was said to be “doing well”.
