As Detective Sergeant Kate Fleming in the hit BBC drama Line of Duty, Vicky McClure usually gets her man. So it was a case of life imitating art when she married film producer Jonathan Owen in her home city of Nottingham on what she called “the best day of my life”.

Vicky, 40, and 52-year-old Merthyr Tydfil-born Jonny shared their special day with family and friends including her Line of Duty co-stars Martin Compston and Adrian Dunbar and series creator Jed Mercurio.

The bride looked stunning in a white off-the-shoulder Kate Halfpenny gown, covered with a lace cape, and a billowing veil.

In contrast to the short crop she sports in her role as AC-12’s nononsense police officer, Vicky wore her hair softly waved in a half-updo thanks to celebrity hairdresser Louis Byrne, who exclusively tells hello!: “From start to finish, it was love, joy and laughter. The tunes were on, the tea was flowing and it was non-stop laughter and love.
