MOLLY PARKER: COMING HOME

When Molly Parker looks back on her childhood in Pitt Meadows, B.C., her face lights up.

“I call it a hippie farm,” she has said of her first home, “because it wasn’t a dairy. We weren’t cattle farmers. We had goats and chickens. It was a great place to grow up.” And while life has taken the Lost in Space actress far away to the bright lights of Hollywood, there’s still a little flower child in her. “I love crystals – I just do,” she told broadcaster George Stroumboulopoulos. “I like the ones that hang in the window and reflect rainbows all over the house.”

To this day, the Deadwood star and mom of William, 16 (with ex-husband, director Matt Bissonnette), remains true to her Canadian roots, whether it’s visiting her family here or taking a break from blockbusters for a homegrown CBC show.
