FAMED sex therapist Dr. Ruth Westheimer, 94, has been doling out frank sexual and relationship advice to Americans for more than 40 years! The bubbly and beloved media personality has reached millions through her radio show Sexually Speaking and her top-rated TV gabfest The Dr. Ruth Show. The renowned expert sat down for an exclusive interview with The National ENQUIRER to chat about her legacy, her book The Art of Arousal and — of course — sex.
NE: Forty years from now, what’s the first thing you want people to think about you?
RW: My legacy is going to be that I was one of the first people talking explicitly about sexual matters and calling everything by its proper name, like the clitoris. This was at the time unheard of, publicly speaking about orgasms, about masturbation and good sexual functioning. My show was the conversation! People spoke about it around the water cooler.
Do you believe in the hereafter — and is there sex there?
I won’t say yes, and I won’t say no. I’m very Jewish, and I do believe in doing the best you can in life in the here and now.
