The Great British Bake Off is getting a makeover this year with a new host, new baking themes, cute pink workbenches, and even a sunburst window - as judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith predict it will be one of the best-ever series.
And the arrival of presenter Alison Hammond on the hit Channel 4 show, reveals Prue, has not only brought more hugs but also plenty of laughter. Both the This Morning host and Noel Fielding commandeered a golf cart to drive around the grounds, leaving the judges and contestants in stitches.
"We have a little buggy that goes all over," explains Prue, 83, as she joins Paul, 57, to give a behind-the-scenes glimpse into life on Bake Off. "Noel, who cannot drive a car, is terrific in the buggy! He and Alison, they're like a couple of teenagers. Often, they're having a lovely time whizzing round the park and we're waiting for them to get on with Bake Off!"
New touches have also been added this year to give the tent a bright, modern look. As well as state of the art kitchen equipment at the bakers’ disposal, there are also pink accents on the worktops, red gingham everywhere and a gorgeous sunburst window.
